Privacy Policy

The short version: your documents never leave your browser. We do not upload, receive, store, read or back up any bill you generate or any PDF you edit. The only personal data we ever hold is an email address you give us voluntarily — for the waitlist or a Pro subscription.
1. Documents: processed in your browser, never uploaded
BillMint is built client-side by design. When you generate a bill or open a PDF in the editor:
- the file is read by JavaScript running on your device;
- rendering, editing and export happen on your device;
- no document content, filename, or metadata is ever transmitted to our servers or to any third party;
- nothing is retained after you close the tab, other than optional settings (like theme) in your browser's local storage.
You can verify this: open your browser's developer tools (Network tab) while using the generator or editor — you will see no upload requests.
2. The data we do collect

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell or rent personal data, and we run no analytics that could ship document contents.
3. Payments
Card, UPI and netbanking details are handled directly by our payment processors — Razorpay (India) and Stripe (international) — on their PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure. We never see or store your payment instrument details; we receive only a confirmation of payment and the billing details needed for your invoice.
4. Your rights
India (DPDP Act, 2023): as a Data Principal you may access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent at any time, nominate a representative, and raise a grievance with us and thereafter with the Data Protection Board of India.
EU/UK (GDPR): if you are in the EEA or UK you additionally have rights to data portability, restriction and objection, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Given that we hold at most an email address and billing record for you, most requests can be honoured within days.
To exercise any right, email getdeaddictedllc@gmail.com from the address in question. Unsubscribe links are also included in every marketing email.
5. Retention
- Waitlist emails: kept until you unsubscribe or 24 months of inactivity, whichever is earlier.
- Billing records: kept as required by Indian tax law (currently 8 years), then deleted.
- Server logs: rotated within 30 days.
- Your documents: never held, so there is nothing to retain or delete.
6. Cookies and local storage
BillMint sets no advertising or cross-site cookies. We use browser localStorage for functional preferences only (e.g. your theme). This data stays on your device.
7. Children
BillMint is a business tool and not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; a parent or guardian who believes we hold such data may contact us for immediate deletion.
8. Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS (TLS). The strongest protection, however, is architectural: data we never receive is data that can never be breached. Waitlist and billing data are stored on access-controlled infrastructure in encrypted form at rest.
9. Changes and contact
